Improve Website Messaging by Creating a Buyer’s Persona
In order to make your website content effective, you need to have a buyer’s persona in mind. Take a minute and imagine yourself as your ideal customer. Pull up your website and read the message your website is sending. Does it feel like it resonates? Is it speaking to you (the ideal customer), or is it filled with “we do this, we do that” type of content?
One relatively easy thing to do to help increase your website’s conversion rate, is it to create a buyer’s persona. Having a buyer’s persona allows you to craft a message that will speak to them and the challenges they are facing.

Pick a specific industry you want to target with your products or services. Take notes on the following:
- What issues are happening within that industry?
- What are companies doing in that industry currently with regards to your offering?
- Who are their ideal customers and partners?
- What value does your product or service bring to their business?
Having this well documented allows your message to come through naturally, and better target your ideal customer. It is in this way that you will begin to start working with more clients that you enjoy working with, because your website’s message will resonate with them.
