The SEORCHERS Story

how we came into existence

In the late 1990′s Justin McGill, SEORCHERS Founder and CEO, was in high school. He had a copy of Dreamweaver and Photoshop and a creative desire to spend his free time trying to build websites full of waving flag banners and shooting star backgrounds. This hobby would turn into an obsession of constantly building bigger and better websites (you know, one’s with frames and cool mouse-over button links).

By the early 2000′s, he had built a poker database website for his home game poker group. This website would store poker results, tournament finishes, individual poker profiles, and more. This would transcend into working with odd jobs here and there for the uncle’s brother’s cousin’s company…you know how it goes.

By early 2008, Justin decided to make it a full time gig and started Novel Concept Studio. In early 2009, a branding expert informed us that we had a terrible name and it needed to be changed. Thus, SEORCHERS was born. SEORCHERS has grown as a business having started off working with friends who had an idea to eventually working with Fortune 100 companies and everything in between.

Founder and CEO

Justin is the founder and President of SEORCHERS – a web marketing firm specializing in organic search engine optimization (SEO) with a focus on converting visitors into customers. In the late 90′s, Justin developed a deep fascination with web design and began to involve himself in, what is today known as, search engine optimization. With hobby-like beginnings (and obsession), he began to blaze a path for himself in SEO consultation. By early 2008, Justin had accumulated an impressive wealth of technical knowledge, lifting him to “expert” status, but he wanted to put his business acumen to the test. The result was the founding of a full service inbound marketing company. Today, SEORCHERS – is a tremendously successful and rapidly growing powerhouse in the online marketing arena!

Fact: The only time Justin McGill was wrong was when he thought he made a mistake.

Jim Kulla

Partner & Chief Idea Man

Jim joined forces with Justin in late 2008. His career path has taken him from successful salesman (through the mid 90’s), to manager and trainer (through 2001), to entrepreneur & consultant (present). Jim has a tireless work ethic and understands the process of improving your business results is never ending. His interest in web development started back in 2000 as a Sales and Marketing Manager for a large local contractor (helping develop their website). Today with the evolution of all things web and under the considerable tutelage of Justin; Jim applies the principals of his past with his passion for sales and marketing to help the team achieve the very best results for their clients. Jim also trains all staff and referral partners on the SEORCHERS brand of ethical SEO.

Fact: Jim Kulla’s keyboard doesn’t have a control button. Jim Kulla is always in control.

Richard Keech

SEO Coordinator

Richard is an architect in providing SEO and online marketing solutions for our clients. After graduating from ASU with his communications degree, he did not want to get left behind. Richard also did not see himself falling into a mundane corporate job. Richard “Keyword” Keech recognized the increasing potential in internet marketing and began to delve into the rapidly growing industry. In the summer of 2009 he was given a unique opportunity to intern with our successful and fast growing company. He took the priceless on the job training and knowledge and parlayed it into an exciting growth opportunity in a fast paced work environment.

Fact: Google changes their rankings when Richard Keech tells them to.

Michael Lambourne

Director of Marketing

Mike brings a truly unique experience of marketing and internet business development to the SEORCHERS team. After graduating from ASU with a degree in Finance and Psychology, his fascination with behavioral economics and internet marketing were an ideal fit. Using these skills, Mike is able to specialize in the areas of online business development, customer acquisition, and sales conversion. In other words: How to get more leads, nurture your prospects, educate your buyers, and service your customers using the internet. Best of all, Mike truly enjoys helping businesses to efficiently and intelligently transition into the online world, with no wasted time or resources.

Fact: Mike doesn’t read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.

Meghan Dorn

Account Services Coordinator

Meghan joined the SEORCHERS team in 2012. Along with her experience in helping take small businesses to the next level, she provides our clients with dedicated customer service, delivering tips and resources throughout their campaigns. Meghan obtained an interdisciplinary degree from ASU in 2002, emphasizing in Tourism, Communication, and Business. This winning combination is enhanced by her mid-western charm and unique approach to helping our clients feel the support of the entire SEORCHERS team. When Meghan isn’t in our office, you can find her giving back to the community through her dedication to organizations like the Arizona State University Alumni Association and Susan G. Komen for the Cure Phoenix Affiliate.

Fact: The Flinstones gave their children Meghan Dorn vitamins.

Chris Luzinski

SEO Specialist

Chris joined the SEORCHERS team in 2012. He supports our clients as part of the operations team doing all the backend things for every client, such as building links and making them visible online in forums. He also assists with engagement in various social media platforms. Chris’ favorite aspect about working at SEORCHERS is the atmosphere. The laid back community we have makes “working” everyday seem like a walk in the park and he loves coming in each day! Most people’s first impression of Chris is that he is funny…either looking or just in general. Either way, he will make you laugh!

Fact: Chris doesn’t wear a watch, HE decides what time it is.

Angela Iliopoulos

Social Media Manager

Angela joined the SEORCHERS team in the summer of 2012 to assist in building our brand through social media. Her tasks include, but are not limited to, handling all clients’ social media needs, as well as our own, by developing and implementing strategies with online communities. Having a passion for and an understanding of social media is what drives her to educate our clients especially in the ever changing world of social media. She has successfully setup and established social media contests, strategies, and relationships. What better way to foster business relationships than in today’s digital age with social media?

Fact: Facebook created Angela’s account without a username and password because Angela doesn’t need it to Log in.

Jim Titus

Senior Project Manager

Jim joined the SEORCHERS team in 2012. After studying business management at Central Michigan University, Jim ventured into program management for large OEM providers including BMW, Mercedes, GM, Chrysler and Hyundai. Jim  has delivered advanced web development solutions for clients ranging from start-ups business, organizations and Fortune 500 companies. Jim has continued finding efficiencies in our industry and brings to SEORCHERS clients, robust web solutions that are in compliance with the latest technology standards available.

Fact: Bill Gates lives in constant fear that Jim Titus’s PC will crash.
